A record-breaking 292 cats found loving homes during our Colorado Cats Count week on July 6-12, including 108 cats and kittens adopted during CatFest on Saturday. It was an incredible week for our feline friends, and we’re so proud of our community and those who came out to support Colorado cats. Thank you to everyone who welcomed a homeless cat into their family this week.
On Saturday, more than 1,300 people attended the seventh annual CatFest at our Quebec Street Shelter, which included clicker-training demonstrations, a cat enrichment exhibit, advice from cat health and behavior experts, activities for kids, a “Meow Market” with dozens of vendors and sponsors, local food trucks, prize giveaways and more.
To help even more homeless pets find homes, the Dumb Friends League is waiving adoption fees for adult cats and dogs (1 year and older) through Friday, July 17.
CatFest was sponsored by Hill’s? Science Diet?. For more information on the Dumb Friends League and our cat adoption special, visit ddfl.org or call (303) 751-5772.
