What is Dogs of Denver and Friends?
Dogs of Denver and Friends is coffee-table photobook featuring 250 of Denver’s finest dogs, cats and other small mammals. The book is a fundraiser for the Dumb Friends League to benefit the homeless pets and horses in our care.
Does my pet have to be adopted from the Dumb Friends League to participate in the book?
Your pet does not have to be adopted from the Dumb Friends League to participate in the book. Dogs of Denver and Friends showcases dogs, cats and small mammals regardless of where they came from.
Who photographs my pet?
Sean McNeil, named 2017 Best Pet Photographer by Denver A List City voters, of McNeil Design Portraits, will photograph your pet.
How can my pet be a part of it?
You can sign up your pet by visiting www.mcneildesignerportraits.com.
Can I have two animals in the picture?
Yes, you can have two animals in the picture with a donation for each.
Can my cat or other pet that is not a dog be in the book?
Yes! Dogs of Denver and Friends is now accepting cats and small mammals in addition to dogs! Please note that your pet must be mobile and fit in the studio.
How much does a photo session cost?
A photo session costs $250.00 per pet. All proceeds benefit the Dumb Friends League. Please note that $200.00 of the photoshoot is tax deductible.
What is the latest date to sign my pet up for Dogs of Denver and Friends?
The sooner you sign up your pet, the better, but the last day is July 1. All photo sessions must be completed before the end of August.
When is the Dogs of Denver and Friends available?
The exact publication date is being finalized, but the book will be available before Thanksgiving—just in time for the holidays.
Is a copy of the Dogs of Denver and Friends book included in with my donation?
Yes! You will receive one book with each donation.
